As discussed at the CTC Advisory Committee meeting, the System has submitted a grant for phase 2 of the agriculture improvements. The grant is written for a greenhouse that will become an integral part of our agricultural learning complex. The issue we are presented with here is land to build the agricultural learning complex that will also be utilized for phase 3 of the improvements, which includes an emphasis on livestock.

The only land available that is adjacent to Obion County Central is owed by Mr. Chris Young. He has offered to sell the System approximately 15 acres at a cost of $4,000 per acre or $50,000, whichever is higher. Without a survey, we do not know exactly how many acres are available; however, Mr. Young stated that he believes the land consists of 15 acres.
